Team Domenica at London to Brighton Bike Ride

17 Riders, 55 Miles and One Amazing Team: London to Brighton for Team Domenica
On Sunday 13 September, Team Domenica was one of 93 official charity partners of Skyline Events to take on the London to Brighton Bike Ride.
Starting in Clapham, our riders cycled 55 miles through the Sussex countryside, taking on the famous Ditchling Beacon before finishing on Brighton seafront. They took on the challenge to raise vital funds for Team Domenica and support our work with people with learning disabilities and autism.
Bringing our community together
We had 17 amazing riders take on the iconic London to Brighton Bike Ride. Our team brought together supporters, employers, partners and people with close connections to Team Domenica, with riders from Watches of Switzerland, Ansvar, Focus Foundation, Pabrico, Permit Room and Brighton i360. It was fantastic to see so many people from across our community come together to support our work.
Going the extra mile
Our riders showed incredible determination, both on the bike and through their fundraising. David Garget was the first Team Domenica rider to cross the finish line, completing the route in an impressive 3 hours and 13 minutes. As part of the Watches of Switzerland team, Dave was joined by colleagues Matthew Goodlad and Andrew Reay who collectively raised over £1,520 making them our highest fundraising team.
We were grateful to two of our corporate supporters, who match-funded their riders fundraising, helping to double their impact. Ansvar riders George Taplin, Sam Shah and Alex Lavan raised £695, which was kindly matched by the Benefact Group taking the total to £1390. Focus Group also match-funded Chris Anderson from Focus Group, helping him raise an amazing £810 for Team Domenica.
While a special mention goes to Nick Bower, our highest individual fundraiser and a fantastic long-term supporter of Team Domenica.
It was also particularly special to have Liam, one of our current candidates on our Supported Internship Programme, taking part. Liam completed the ride and raised an incredible £410.
Making every mile count
Each rider had a fundraising target of £240 which is enough to fund a full day of specialist training for one of our candidates. We’re incredibly proud that almost all of our riders exceeded their targets. Together, the team has now raised £8,632 including gift aid.
Every donation will help Team Domenica provide specialist training and support, helping people with learning disabilities and autism build skills, confidence and independence as they move towards employment.
Thank you!
A huge thank you to all 17 riders, anyone who donated and to everyone who helped make London to Brighton 2026 such a memorable day for Team Domenica!
