Café Training

Candidates access work experience in our four training cafes across Brighton & Hove, where they develop the skills, confidence and independence to progress into external workplaces. Last year, 95% of candidates felt that their café training is preparing them for work.

I’ve learnt communication, customer service, and brought out that I can talk to new people really well. Training in the café will help me achieve my dreams of working in a hotel because I love proving people wrong and showing them I can do it.

Theo, Candidate

I have gained successful employment as an Apprentice Chef! Without Team Domenica this would have never happened. A special thanks to Phoebe, my mentor, for having my back all the way.

Tim, Candidate

Employment Centre

Since 2016, 81% of candidates have progressed from Supported Internships into paid work.

Both Pizza Pilgrims and Team Domenica have given me the opportunity to show my skills. I love being part of the team and being in a team that is really supportive.

It’s hard to describe how proud I am for getting a job. It’s something I never thought I’d achieve, and now it just feels so amazing!

The skills I have learned [during Enrichment] are being considerate, tolerant and kind. I like working with the other candidates…I feel less lonely and less isolated, because I’ve made more friends here than I ever have

Richie, Candidate
