Team Domenica is a Brighton-based social enterprise charity helping people with learning disabilities find and retain paid employment. We are looking for a Partnerships and Fundraising Officer to support the delivery and growth of Team Domenica’s corporate fundraising programme.
Job Summary
In this role, you will support the delivery and growth of Team Domenica’s corporate fundraising programme. You will focus on securing and stewarding small to medium local and regional corporate partnerships (typically £1,000-£10,000) while providing vital support on larger strategic partnerships. You will proactively research new opportunities, help shape engagement plans, and build meaningful relationships that generate income, add value to our programmes, and raise awareness of our work.
Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and the wider Fundraising & Communications team, you will help deliver excellent stewardship, create compelling content that celebrates our employer partners, and coordinate fundraising and engagement activity across Team Domenica and The North Star training pub. You will represent the organisation at networking events, support presentations, and contribute to a collaborative, professional fundraising function. By engaging with a variety of external and internal development opportunities, you will develop into an outstanding professional fundraiser and leader.
LOCATION:
This role will be based predominantly at Pavilion Buildings in Brighton. Depending on their roles, our staff can be required to work in a range of different sites, including our main training centre, enrichment site, training cafes and employer’s premises.
Contract Details
CONTRACT: 12 month fixed-term contract
WORKING HOURS: Full time (40hrs per week)
SALARY: £27,000

Responsibilities
- Work to secure small and medium-sized local and regional corporate partnerships (circa £1k–£10k).
- Research new corporate relationship opportunities and record findings using a structured matrix.
- Work with the Fundraising Manager to identify priority prospects from the matrix and support the development of tailored action plans.
- Assist with the stewardship of existing partnerships, ensuring companies have a positive and engaging experience that involves their teams and supports fundraising.
- Add value to existing partnerships by developing new initiatives aligned with partners’ interests (e.g., challenge events, donation drives, staff engagement activities).
- Attend and engage in training opportunities (including Time to Shine activities; internal coaching; external training sessions) to develop excellent professional fundraising and leadership skills. Please note that these may include out of work hours.
- Provide a joined-up approach to collaborations across the organisation, including The North Star training pub, Team Domenica programmes, and the Employment Partnerships Team.
- Support the Fundraising Manager and Head of Fundraising in stewarding and delivering large-scale corporate partnerships (£50k+).
- Create content and stories to celebrate new and existing partnerships, ensuring agreed partnership deliverables are met.
- Assist with general fundraising activity, particularly events.
- Attend networking events, occasionally during early mornings, evenings, or weekends.
- Maintain accurate records to support relationship management and internal reporting.

Requirements
Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Sound understanding and experience of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage workload, competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Understanding of data and its importance and a willingness to learn how to input and report on data in a CRM database.
- Demonstrative ability to build effective relationships with external shareholders.
DESIRABLE
- Experience working with a charitable cause, either as a volunteer or paid employee.
- Understanding of fundraising income streams and corporate packages.
Qualifications
- GCSE’s (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Two or more A-Levels (or equivalent)
Person Specification
- Eloquent and persuasive, with strong communication skills.
- Able to demonstrate relationship-building skills with a variety of audiences.
- Equally comfortable in demonstrating professionalism within corporate environments and more down-to-earth settings.
- A commitment to learning, growing and developing excellent professional fundraising and leadership skills.
