A Team Domenica runner at Brighton Marathon weekend
On race day, I made it to the team café (Café Domenica) and got to meet some of other people from the charity. Everyone was smiling, supportive and the energy was good.

It was then time to crack on with the race, which was a tad harder than expected, but I did get a big  boost every time I spotted another runner wearing the same Team Domenica shirt as me. Overall, I had a blast and really enjoyed raising money for such a great cause!!

Why run for Team Domenica?

By signing up to run the 10k for Team Domenica, you will help us continue to open doors for young people with learning disabilities and autism.

What’s more, we’ll pay for your place, all we ask is that you commit to a fundraising target of £240 in return. This amount will fund a day of specialist training in our cafés, for an entire class of candidates on our Supported Employment Programme.

This will help young people like Laoisha gain the confidence, technical expertise and interpersonal skills needed to navigate the world or work.

This place has changed my life. It’s given me lots of new friends; it’s given me hope. In the cafés, I’ve been growing my confidence with baking and making drinks on the coffee machine. I feel ready for the future and like I can do anything!

Our work thrives on the support of our community, and people like you are the life of the party – we couldn’t do it without you.
