Team Domenica is a Brighton-based social enterprise charity helping people with learning disabilities find and retain paid employment. We are looking for a Marketing and Fundraising Executive to support the delivery of impactful, inclusive marketing across digital and print platforms.
Team Domenica is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing and Fundraising Executive to support our communications and income-generation efforts. This is a varied and hands-on role, where you can really see the direct benefits of your work. This is ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience across digital marketing, content creation and fundraising.
You’ll work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Communications, the Senior Communications Executive, Fundraising Manager and our commercial team to ensure our messaging is consistent, engaging and aligned with our brand and values.
You will take an active role in day-to-day marketing activity for our cafés and our new pub, keep our website up-to-date, produce digital and print resources for the organisation, generate engaging content for our social platforms, and help deliver inspiring stories that champion young people with learning disabilities. You will also play an active role in supporting grassroots and challenge event fundraisers (eg Brighton Marathon), improving customer-donor engagement and assist on partnership and collaboration initiatives.
Contract Details
CONTRACT: 12 month fixed-term contract
WORKING HOURS: Full time (40hrs per week)
SALARY: £27,000-£29,000 depending on experience
ANNUAL LEAVE: 25 days holiday per annum plus 8 English bank and public holidays.

Responsibilities
Marketing and Communications
- Maintain and update website content – particularly across the café and new pub micro-sites – ensuring information is accurate, appealing and up to date.
- Use photographic and video skills to capture engaging media, write engaging copy and manage its release on social media platforms
- Co-ordinate product photography, video shoots and visual content creation to promote our impact and commercial offerings.
- Deliver digital and print marketing materials to support the café and new pub, creating and using design templates where required.
- Support online shop product management.
- Monitor analytics and performance of key digital platforms and report insights to improve future campaigns.
- Keep our Google and TripAdvisor listings up to date, encouraging strong reviews and clear information.
- Draft and circulate external newsletters in line with the communications calendar.
- Write blogs, success stories and candidate profiles to share across multiple channels.
- Help produce Easy Read materials and collect testimonials from candidates, families, and partners.
- Assist with creating marketing templates and visual assets.
- Ensure consent records are kept up to date
Fundraising
- Deliver the recruitment campaign for runners the Brighton Marathon Weekend and offer excellent support in their fundraising.
- Identify new opportunities for donation collection in our physical sites and maintain tap-to-donate donation points at key locations.
- Support community and corporate supporters to reach their fundraising goals.
- Assist with stewardship of minor corporate partnerships and product collaborations.
- Keep accurate records of supporter activity, fundraising income and event participation.
- Contribute to reports on marketing and fundraising performance.

Requirements
Experience
- 2 years of experience in marketing and communications (including internships or voluntary roles) – essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for engaging and inclusive storytelling – essential
- Skills in photography, video, and graphic design – essential
- Basic experience and knowledge of website CMS tools (e.g. WordPress or similar) and ability to make content updates – essential
- Comfortable using analytics tools to monitor and report on marketing activity – essential
- Experience working in a hospitality or charity environment – desirable
- Understanding of accessibility in communications, including Easy Read principles – desirable
- Familiarity with fundraising and/or events – desirable
- Experience using Canva, Davinci Resolve and Mailchimp (or similar) as well as scheduling tools (eg.Loomly) – desirable

- Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple tasks at once – essential
- Confident working with a range of stakeholders including commercial teams, corporate partners and public supporters – essential
- A strong team player, open to feedback and keen to learn and develop – essential
Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in Marketing, Communications, Media or a related field – desirable

Please note:
This role will be based predominantly at Pavilion Buildings, Brighton. Depending on their roles, our staff can be required to work on a range of different sites, including our main training centre, enrichment site, training cafés and employer’s premises.
